SHINE is immediately seeking an Electrical Engineer who will have ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with other internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up. Based on experience level of the candidate, this role could be hired as a senior level role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Defining design criteria.
  • Write specifications.
  • Produce engineering calculations.
  • Create details.
  • Lay out equipment.
  • Select product.
  • Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment.
  • Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers.
  • Coordinate with other internal engineering groups and Construction.
  • Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, field change requests, and reviewing document submittals.
  • Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), startup, commissioning and mentoring.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards
  • Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements
  • Professional engineering license with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license is desired
