Established in 1985, Systems 3, Inc. uses precision machining and assembly services to deliver high complexity airframe, flight critical, and flight safety products to the Aerospace, Space, & Defense industries.
 
Our company based in the Tempe Arizona area is currently hiring a Sr. CNC Programmer with NX or Mastercam experience.


I.             PURPOSE
The function of the NC Programmer for Systems 3 Inc. includes but is not limited to; producing CNC programs, design of fixtures/tooling, creation of fixture/tooling drawings, create process planning for machining, recommend improved manufacturing methods, and serve as a technical resource to Manufacturing Engineering.
 
II.            REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Sr. CNC Programmer reports directly to the VP of Engineering.
 
III.           RESPONSIBILITIES
  • CNC programming for 2, 3, 4 & 5 axis machining centers for both milling and turning
  • Design and oversee the production of fixtures and tooling
  • Machining methods planning
  • Designs experiments to solve manufacturing problems
  • Supports on-going machining processes by providing technical expertise in analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization 
  • Identifies, analyzes, plans, and implements new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment to improve product cost and cycle-time 
  • Shop floor assistance
  • Supports New Product Introduction
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
 
IV.           QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSME with 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
    • Will consider experience in lieu of education
  • CAD/CAM NX proficiency is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of feeds, speeds, and cutter selection
  • Experienced with machine and fixture design
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T
  • Working knowledge of aerospace specifications
  • Ability to design experiments to solve manufacturing issues
  • Familiar with inspection equipment and methods
  • Familiar with aerospace processes such as heat treating, electropolishing, shot peening, passivation, cad plating, anodizing, painting, etc. as they relate to machining processes
