Project Engineer

We design, build, and integrate turnkey process and packaging systems for food, beverage, cosmetics, and other industrial applications.

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer/Project Engineer. This role will lead the Sales/Project Management/Design effort on projects including planning, design and fabrication of turnkey process and packaging systems as you collaborate with a team of project managers, engineers, and drafters. A successful candidate must be highly knowledgeable of 2D & 3D detailing practices and procedures and apply in-depth expertise, analytical skills, and creative thinking to adjust processes or approaches to best meet needs/objectives of the project.

The ideal candidate MUST have:

  • Engineering degree or significant technical experience in the Food Processing Industry
  • Experience in process and packaging system design including but not limited to: Conveyors, mezzanines, controllers & sensors, sorting systems and warehouse management systems & controls.
  • Energetic engineer or technically experienced mechanical designer with conveyors and process equipment
  • High Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & Inventor 3D design of conveyors, material handling, food processing, and packaging equipment
  • Sales/Project Management experience working with technical corporate or facility customers
  • Knowledge of drawings, process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, food safety design specifications
  • MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Proficiency
  • Customer Service, Technical Design, Communication (verbal and graphic)
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented
  • Be willing to travel at least one week a month

Responsibilities and Duties

  • 2D CAD Design of conveyors, material handling, processing, and packaging equipment
  • Set up, define, and maintain company CAD standards, processes, and procedures
  • Define and maintain standard drawing templates applicable to each project
  • Setting up the organization of drawing packages and workflows at all levels of design for each project
  • Maintain electronic project drawing files organization and archives
  • Project Sales - work with technical corporate or facility customers to develop the scope of work for a new project, cost estimates, and produce professional proposals.
