Job Description:

To ensure that the products manufactured at the facility fit the purpose and meet customer expectations. Assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems, corrective and preventative action, rework and quarantine processes, validation processes, overseeing documentation, managing staff, leading the plant Food Safety Team (GFSI/FSCC 22000 Compliance). Involved in the process to plan, coordinate, organize and control of the production within the facility. Internally audit staff and plant for continuous improvement. This position leads the direct communication with customers for quality improvement plans, quality concerns and new product quality development. Assist Director of Quality as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

• Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing internal action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits (internal/external) determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analysis, identifying critical control points and preventative measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, CAPAs and verification procedures, monitoring inventories.
• Validates quality process by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; reviewing production measurements; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualifications.
• Establish statistic process controls for applicable processes.
• Manage customer complaints (CARs) through the complaints library. Oversight of the plant investigation of root cause, short term and long-term corrective actions along with complaint follow-up. Validation that the appropriate plant personnel are providing the proper investigation and resolution. Manage and report on CAR database through tracking and trending of complaints. Manage and report on daily non-conformance's found during production over all shifts. Record, analyze and reference daily non-conformance's as needed for track/trends/customer complaints/maintenance/item issues.
• Project Management: Oversee quality-related plant projects (i.e. decreasing customer complaints for top 5 categories).
Other duties may be assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering or Technology or related with at least 5 years recent experience in a quality function.
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
