Our client is a growing chemical/materials company located in the beautiful Pacific NW.  In this role as a Process Controls Lead you will lead the efforts one other Junior controls engineer, in addition to all major projects and controls upgrades.  Seeking an engineer with 10+ years of related experience, a background from a chemical manufacturing industry and great communication skills.


To Be Successful!

  • You will be the plant expert on maintaining,upgrading and troubleshooting of all DCS and PLC systems mainly ABB and Allen-Bradley. 
  • Will be involved and manage all programs (existing and new) to ensure environmental, operational and compliance needs of the facility.
  • Work alongside all engineers and support sizing, specification,and maintenance for all field activities and instruments such as, flow meters, control valves, temperature etc...  
  • Strong PSM knowledge with the ability to maintain and support programs like mechanical integrity, process safety and PHA's
  • Willing and able to lead and mentor JR level engineers all well collaborating with the entire engineering team and operations.
  • Maintain and configure the data acquisition system including calculation of plant efficiencies, energy monitoring, gathering of asset utilization data and tracking environmental performance.
  • Strong project management experience - Implementation, installation, procurement and project submittals 
  • Optimize plant processes through automation and development of control schemes.
  • Provide process control engineering support for plant operation and strategic initiatives including process optimization, raw material efficiency, energy efficiency, tracking improvements, utilization improvements, project support, and process control support.
To Be Considered!
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or closely related.  
  • 8+ years industrial experience (Chemical processing preferred) 
  • PSM exposure and experience 
  • YOU MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE USA without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
