OATI is seeking a Senior Technology Architect with focus on embedded Linux to be the primary manager of product’s code repository, managing code changes, releases, and testing. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of work experience in this area.  Must be a technical subject matter expert and be able to lead and mentor other team members. Experience as tier 3 support for problem investigation and customer deployment support. Ability to participate in applying customer or project needs to the product’s software and operation.
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science (IT Infrastructure) or other comparable degree or certification, with relevant work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in embedded Linux software and systems
  • Strong knowledge of embedded Linux BSP creation and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Linux kernel programming
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel, file-systems, boot process, and driver architecture
  • Experience with network interfaces and protocols: wifi, Ethernet, zigbee, cellular modems, TCP/IP
  • Experience with embedded interfaces – uart, rs485, spi, i2c, GPIO, etc
  • Understanding of application processor based system architecture
  • Experience with Yocto Project/Openembedded
  • Strong C, bash scripting skills
  • Embedded hardware skills – schematic reading, debugging with oscilloscope, logic analyzers is a plus
  • Experience with software development in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with issue tracking and software lifecycle management tools
  • Experience with build automation and GIT source code control
  • Experience with network and application security, firewall, VPN, TLS/SSL
  • Functional testing and regulatory testing is a plus
  • Skilled in understanding complex systems end-to-end
  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Local to MN
