What You’ll Do:
 
As the Senior Engineer, you will research, plan, develop, and execute on projects, ensuring both client and business goals are achieved. 
 
Your Accountabilities in the Role:


1) Collaborates with clients on project needs and specifications, as well as researches competitive and innovative techniques, to develop an enhanced proposed project scope that is viable based on cost, quality, timing, and safety. 
2) Leads a project team(s) to execute various moderate to large project scopes effectively, ensuring timing, resources, and costs are aligned to the project expectations and profit goals.
3) Reviews, manages, updates, and communicates Project Plan changes/timelines to ensure conformity and quality that are aligned to the project scope and costs. 
4) Establishes communication check-points with clients to ensure expectations are consistently being met. 
5) Provides technical support on complex project issues via telephone or in person for internal and external clients to remedy problems quickly.
6) Acts as the technical advisor for upper management and staff to provide insight, mentoring, and guidance for a successful, growing team. 
7) Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for projects or programs, ensuring information is accurate, timely and meets both client and organizational goals.
  
Position Requirements:
 
  1. Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering field from an ABET/EAC accredited program, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Utilizes lifelong learning to build knowledge.
  2. Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in developing and leading advanced/complex engineering projects with outside clients, with 3+ years of supervising, leading, or mentoring others. 
  3. Certification(s): P.E. required; member of a Professional Association preferred
  4. Functional Skills:   Excellent researching, developing, planning, and execution skills.  Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills. Proven ability to manage broad projects (i.e. large or many) based on extensive skillset with only broad guidelines/objectives. Strong attention to details, analytical, thoroughness, and accuracy.  Forward-thinker with excellent problem-solving skills required, utilizing a broad set of guidelines.   
  5. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook; Experienced with CAD systems, with the ability to learn proprietary software required.
  6. Language Skills: Advanced written and verbal communication skills; can present to large groups, where applicable.
  7. Leadership/Behaviors: Collaborative, innovative, supportive, and client/goal-focused; ability to be flexible, adaptable to move efficiently with business/project changes; Self-directed and able to mentor/lead teams.  Strong quality focus.
  8. Other Important Information:     
 
Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.
 
And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
 
Reports To:  President
 
Core Hours:  8:00 am – 5:00 pm (some additional time during the week to cover global time zones)
 
Typical Work Week:  M-F; with approximately 40-45 hours a week on average
