Job Description:

The QSC Power Amplifier Engineer will be part of the design team responsible for creation and implementation of electronic hardware products for QSC. The Engineer will work closely with the project lead and participate in design and development of audio power amplifiers with power levels ranging from several watts to ten kilowatts.

Typical responsibilities include analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, use of analysis and circuit modeling and simulation, PCB layout, timing and signal integrity analysis, components evaluation and selection, solving EMC and regulatory issues, bringing up prototypes and troubleshooting, authoring design verification test plan, carrying out test activities and compiling test reports.

The position requires the individual to work well within a small, cross-functional team consisting of mechanical, software, and firmware engineers, as well as product managers, program managers, manufacturing engineers, and NPI engineers. The role requires someone who is self-motivated, has excellent problem solving skills, possesses a keen attention to detail, works collaboratively, and can produce results.

Responsibilities
* Design and implement analog and digital electronic hardware with an emphasis on audio applications
* Develop and analyze electronics components and systems
* Design simulation
* Test, qualify, and debug prototype units to confirm design meets product requirements
* Resolve performance issues and defects resulting from verification testing, EMC and/or environmental testing at system level
* Work effectively with other design engineers
* Must be self-motivated in order to achieve assigned objectives with minimal supervision
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
* BSEE required
* Minimum of 2 years’ design experience in a related role is required
* Experience with simulation tool(s) is preferred
* Experience with schematic capture/PCB layout software required. (Cadence Allegro preferred).
* Good communication skills, both written and oral, in English
* Good problem solving skills: issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and developing recommendations
* Ability to produce results in a dynamic work environment
