Job Title: CAD Documentation Specialist

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Primary Functions: The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Transforms initial rough product or system designs using CAD into working documents.
  • Maintains paper and computer generated drawing files.
  • Sees that projects are completed on time and correctly
  • Enforces drafting procedures through out the departments.
  • Orders supplies necessary for engineering drafting.
  • Documentation to include:
    • Work Instructions (WI)
    • Routers
    • B/O/M (Bill of Materials)
    • SOP
    • Photo
    • Standards

Employment Requirements:

  • The employee must have sufficient formal or informal education to assure the ability to read and write technical information in English and compute accurate drafting mathematics.
  • The employee must have High School diploma or approved equal with emphasis is drafting skills
  • AutoCAD Certification a plus, but not required
  • Three years experience in an organization performing comparable duties
  • Must have basic computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Understanding and carrying out written and verbal technical and non-technical instructions in an accurate, effective, and concise manner.
  • Recognizing and maintaining confidentiality of work materials as appropriate.
  • Ability to identify work requirements and fulfill job requirements in an efficient, economical, and effective manner.
  • Ability to interface with co-workers and management in a professional, pleasant manner.
  • Exercise highly motivated, self-directed and innovative work standards with limited supervision.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the manufacturing process and engineering functions as is relates to the manufacturing operation. Must also be familiar with company policies, purchasing procedures, numbering and database systems, and maintenance of the engineering copier.

Travel Requirements: As directed by management.
