Our client is an growing international food ingredient and nutritional products manufacturer based in the western suburbs of Chicago that is looking to add a key member to their team.  You will focus on Controls and Electrical/Automation Equipment in the manufacturing facility.  
 
What will you do to be successful:
  • You will be able to lead and manage the installation of the plants PLC and HMI upgrades and retrofits.
  • You have strong programming skills for the PLC and HMI 
  • You will use your strong knowledge of capital projects and the the ability to draw-up CapEx requests
  • You will have solid troubleshooting and forecasting skills.
  • You have the ability to work in a team setting and are self-motivated
  • You are able to include and implement Continuous Improvement and Cost Saving initiatives in your work
  • You have a hands on approach with the ability to share time in the office and on the plant floor
 
Knowledge and Exposure you will need to bring to the role.
  • Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms ideal or similar hardware and systems
  • Motor controls such as VFDs, MCC and Servos is a plus
  • Ethernet and other systems - ControlNet, Modbus, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Profibus and Remote I/O
  • Food, chemical, pharmaceutical, corn, soy, spice manufacturing knowledge would be ideal but can come from most industrial operations.
 
What do you need to be considered?
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, EET or Chemical Engineering or related with the right experience as noted above
  • 2-7 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Batch and/or continuous processing of dry and wet goods is preferred
