RF Engineer
Microwave Innovations is seeking an experienced RF Bench Engineer to create new products while supporting existing designs of RF Transmitters and Receiver systems, Power Amplifiers, and RF systems and sub-systems for Defense and Aerospace Systems that demand high-reliability and efficiency.
Position will support all product life phases including:

  •  Propose
  •  Design
  •  Develop
  •  Test
  •  Production support
  •  Failure analysis
  •  Customer support
  •  Sales
Candidate should have first-hand experience in:
  • RF development work
  • RF frequencies from UHF to C-Band and higher 
  • RF design studies and analysis (manually and with simulations tools such as Microwave Office)
  • Breadboarding
  • Component and brass-board testing
  • Final design creation and support including initial PCB layout guidance and review
  • Prototyping
  • Ushering to production
  • Legacy analog techniques
  • Present day digital RF modulations techniques
  • Design and engineering of RF Power Amplifiers, Modulators, PLL, Power Splitters & Combiners 
  • Engineering documentation generation and support
  • Parts Selection
  • Bill of Materials generation and support
  • Test Plans and Reports
  • Engineering Review Packages, including customer attended design reviews
  • Production Test and Assembly documentation
  • Managing of product testing both in-house and at third-party sub tiers
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include full medical plan and 401K for full time applicants.
  • BSEE or MSEE preferred
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in Aerospace/Defense Industries
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Well organized and detail-oriented team player
  • Independent problem solver
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to prepare organized and timely test and progress reports
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microwave Office (and PWB design packages in support of layout efforts)
  • Minimal Travel
  • Must be very comfortable working directly with the management team
