We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Draughtsperson to work for one of our reputable clients in Sheffield, joining a team of committed and multi-disciplined engineers.

A responsible role, carrying out the design development and support of special bespoke products.

Responsibilities

  • You will be working as one of the primary electrical designers within the business
  • Create electrical detailed designs of systems and sub-systems from defined client specification
  • Design control panels, including layouts, schematics and a creation of associated documentation including BOM’s, manufacturing drawings etc
  • Work within agreed timescales and costs
  • Liaise with customers and all other departments within the company at all levels
  • Support the manufacturing process, resolving and clarifying electrical and wiring issues in the products

Education

  • Knowledge and experience of design change control and release procedures MRP and or ERP systems
  • Must be computer literate
  • Minimum qualification in an appropriate subject at HND level

Experience

  • 8 year’s experience as an electrical design draughtsman using electrical CAD software
  • 5 year’s practical experience in an electrical manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Experience in the use of applicable directives, norms and standards used in light industrial applications
  • Temperature controller configuration
  • PLC programming experience
  • Furnace or oven electrical design experience would be an advantage although training will be given
