WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Engineer/Project Manager for our Houston, Texas office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical leadership in the design of transportation projects
  • Lead Roadway Teams in the development of PS&E plans from conceptual to preliminary and final design. Projects include traditional PS&E and Alternative delivery.
  • Assist other technical discipline leads, and marketing staff in the identification of local agency pursuits and writing the technical aspects of proposals
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, and utilities, etc.
  • Quantity Take Offs and Construction Cost Estimating
  • Train and Mentor younger staff
  • Other Duties assigned

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an accredited University or College
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 12 years of related experience in Transportation design
  • Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas
  • Experience in engineering development using Bentley Microstation
  • Proficient in MicroStation, PowerGeopak or Power InRoads
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others
Preferred Qualifications
  • Applied knowledge and understanding with TxDOT Design
  • Proven understanding and application of Alternative Delivery of process, preferably for TxDOT
  • Familiarity with the Manual of Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) or AASHTO Green Book
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF-editing programs
  • Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology
