Today, iOttie’s portfolio of products includes smartphone mounts, wireless chargers, and smart IOT devices.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and inspired hardware engineer to work in our office located in Midtown Manhattan. Our engineering team needs an individual who has a good work ethic and the proper skills for product development.

In This Role, Engineer Will
  • Designworld-class hardware, and, if applicable, software/firmware
  • Interact with cross-functional manufacturing and design teams across the company
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Components sourcing
  • Address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability
  • Help build robust methodology and processes to deliver technology to products
  • Conduct PCB layout overseeing using Allegro
  • Use schematic capture with toolsets such as OrCAD
  • Conduct research, design, development, verification, and test of electronic hardware.
  • Design new and maintain existing products, develop project documentation including technical specifications, schematic diagrams, PCB layout guidelines, verification plans, and schedules.
  • Analyze design using simulation tools and models to verify conformance to product requirements and design standards.
  • Mechanical, design and manufacturing teams from concept to production release.
  • Manage and troubleshoot for certifications

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical /Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience as a hardware engineer
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively to develop products
  • Ability to learn new skills and work with new technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet project milestones
  • A desire to grow within a fast-paced environment
  • System level integration experience
  • Wireless consumer electronic IoT device experience (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
  • Hardware lab equipment such as digital scope, logic analyzer, and soldering skills
  • Experience with revision and document control
  • Analog/Board simulation (ex: SPICE, HyperLynx)
  • Hands-on design experience in analog and digital electronics – SOC, audio, video, power, RF etc. is required
  • Experience with high-speed bus interfaces such as HDMI, USB, MIPI, DDR memory, Ethernet is required
  • Experience in high-speed digital design, signal integrity, layout, RF/EMI mitigation techniques, and power distribution techniques of modern processors is required
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills with a solid understanding of core engineering principles, fundamental circuit design, and analytical techniques is required.
  • Experience with design for high volume manufacturing, environmental
  • Working knowledge of C and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with CAD program like Cadence OrCAD is a plus
  • Experience with component selection and patents in the related field is a plus
  • Experience with certification process(ex:FCC,CE,UL,BT)
  • Alexa and Google related product development experiences are a plus
