We are seeking a MEP HVAC designer / engineer with high performance building experience to join our successful and growing Washington, DC team. 

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Mechanical design and layout
  • Load calculations
  • Selecting commercially available equipment
  • Coordination with architects, building owners, and general contractors
  • Specification development
  • HVAC design coordination with plumbing and electrical disciplines
  • Collaboration with Team Members at all levels



Qualified candidates will have:

  • BSME or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of building codes
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations and duct sizing 
  • 4+ years experience in a MEP consulting environment
  • Ability to perform multiple functions in a fluid multi-deadline environment
  • EIT certification, or interest in obtaining

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP
  • PE license, or interest in obtaining
  • LEED accreditation, or interest in obtaining
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experience with Trace 700
