Job Description:

Small civil engineering and land surveying firm is seeking a motivated, honest and accountable Licensed Civil Engineer with a great attitude and work ethic to be part of our team.   We have a wide array of projects which include industrial, commercial and residential development.  Our work is located all over Central & Southern California. Our office, with a family like environment, is located in Fresno (California Central Valley).

Since we are a small office, candidate shall be able work independently in preparation of plans, calculations, reports, and cost estimates in support of industrial, residential and commercial projects, and public infrastructure projects. Individual shall be able to work collaboratively and provide technical leadership to a multi-discipline design team. This is a hands on design/project lead position.  Candidate should be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects. Position requires strong written and communication skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, grading and drainage design, wet utilities (sanitary sewer, water, and storm drain) design, drainage analysis, storm water management plans and calculations, and roadway improvements. Individual will ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.  In addition, interaction with clients will be necessary, including correspondence and attending meetings, as well as working with staff of various jurisdictions to assist in obtaining project approvals.

Position Requirements
·      PE  License
·      BS in Civil Engineering
·      Have knowledge of methods, practices, techniques, and mathematical procedures for engineering design.
·      Able to prepare, understand and interpret engineering plans, specifications, diagrams, and notes.
·      Able to develop, complete and comprehend project schedules.
·      Able to perform complex mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy.
·      Able to work effectively in a team environment and to direct junior staff members.
·      Able understand various regulatory codes.
·      Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
·      Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
·      Have solid understanding of project budget requirements, time management  skills, and client relations.
·      Must be organized, able to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail.
·      Good writing skills.
·      Valid Driver's License with insurable DMV record
