Structural (Forensic) Engineers (EI’s and PE’s)

Bracken Engineering is seeking Professional Engineers (PE) for our Orlando, Florida and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida offices. We provide meaningful, challenging work; a culture of learning with a focus on career growth; and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Our forensic engineers routinely provide consultation, investigation, preparation of technical white papers; and serve as expert witnesses. Project sites include: residences, commercial buildings, seawalls, piers, and docks. Our areas of expertise include residential and commercial roofing, foundations, building envelopes, water intrusion, design and construction defect evaluation, and vibration and flood analysis and premise liability.

Duties include site investigations, performing research, collecting and analyzing data, writing forensic and investigative reports, and serving as an expert witness. Assignments will potentially require about 10% overnight travel (in FL) and the potential of periodic out of state travel. All work, including in-state travel, will be performed using a company vehicle and all company provided tools.

Our forensics engineers are encouraged to be active in professional societies and organizations like ASCE, excel in continuing their education, to present papers and give back to the community.

We would like to talk with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (from an ABET accredited school)
  • PE License in Florida (or ability to get licensed in Florida)
  • Some forensics or related experience, 2-5 years preferred
  • Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
