Job Summary:


The qualified candidate will research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment and systems by performing the following duties:


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, & systems for commercial & industrial purposes
  • Managing shop equipment maintenance, organize the utility area and the technical library
  • Machine tool layout and installation
  • Manage Large and Field Service projects
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, Project Scheduling, Load testing, setup, operation and reporting
  • PDMA Motor Circuit Evaluation testing and interpretation
  • Spec & analyze switchgear, enter specs and designs into company software
  • Uses computer assisted engineering & design software & equipment to perform engineering tasks
  • Safety Associate for the Augusta Plant and adhere to safety procedures
  • Monitor & ensure the highest standards of quality
  • Familiarization with all Regional Service Centers and TFS
  • Work primarily in the office, but will occasionally be required to work out in the field
  • Learn electrical tests and test equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

BS in Engineering or Technical Degree required. Experience helpful but not mandatory—minimum of internship, CO-OP or equivalent preferred. Experience working in an industrial environment, in a hands-on capacity, helpful. Must have exceptional PC skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Outlook.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
