Job Description:

Position Summary:
The position will take a lead role in the concept, costing, design and development of new Systems and equipment. The position will be involved in all phases of system and product development from concept to final production, and work closely with manufacturing and marketing groups, with principle responsibility for high level design of mechanical / electromechanical assemblies, molded, cast components, and sheet metal parts. Ideal candidates will have some exposure to electrical packaging, servos, and sensor technology, as well as a high level of proficiency in 3-D modeling using AUTOCAD Inventor.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Concept design of new products and systems
  • Develop work instructions for new product production
  • Draft parts and other technical documentation as required
  • Develop documentation of new product production processes
  • Interface with customers on product development
  • Lead the transition of product from prototype to production-mentor for succession planning
  • Develop training and work instructions for new products
 
Required Qualifications: 
 
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years mechanical design experience
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling using Inventor
  • Experience with New Product Design & Development
  • Concept design and cost of new products and systems.
  • Ability to produce pre-production prototypes
  • Ability to interface with customers on systems and product development
