Senior Director, Delivery & Business Relationship Management  
As a member of the senior IT leadership team and reporting to the CIO, the Senior Director, Delivery & Business Relationship Management will provide leadership over the key delivery capability of IT through a project management office and business analysis & process center of excellence.  This role is responsible for directing project implementations, project risk analysis, project business requirements, and system needs analysis.  Directly leads and guides the project portfolio management and governance processes and teams across IT, as well as the business analysis teams.  This role drives cross-function & matrix management teams across all IT functions to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and within scope expectations of key stakeholders.

In addition, this role will create the vision for and lead a team of relationship managers/business partners that serve as the liaison between IT and other business functions, promoting the vision, services and capabilities of the IT organization. The team of BRMs will serve as “trusted advisors” to the business and their key point of contact, providing strategic consulting, guidance and assistance with all aspects of IT’s services.  They are the focal point within IT to bring innovation, planning, and execution of initiatives to the business, thereby enabling the businesses to achieve their objectives, deepen family relationships and transform the center and family experience through the effective use of digital technology. In this role, facilitation is key, as the BRM will be required to inspire new ideas and communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff and key IT/Business stakeholders regarding service requests, projects, and initiatives. The Senior Director and the team of BRMs will also act as advocates on behalf of our client’s business units to ensure IT services meet their business priorities and needs.

Senior Director, Delivery & Business Relationship Management Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a strategic relationship with business leaders, acting as a thought leader regarding the application of information technology to business processes/challenges, drive transformative change through technology, align technology solutions across the organization, and deliver IT solutions that enable the targeted business strategies.
Organize and facilitate short- and long-term strategic planning sessions with business leaders to improve processes based on business need and expectations.
Represent the business strategies and priorities to IT while also representing the IT vision, service, and capabilities to the business.
Act as an advocate with the business for best practices and innovation in solution design, development and project management, including the use of Agile concepts and techniques.
Responsible for managing a team of project managers by providing strong leadership and structure to their efforts in delivering projects on time, within budget and scope.
Build, govern and maintain the project management framework and portfolio governance process across all IT teams to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, as well as to drive proper resource and capacity management.
Responsible for budgeting and staffing of the project management, business analysis, and business relationship management teams.
Drive a requirements center of excellence to ensure business and functional requirements are captured, validated and accurately translated for delivery by the IT development & systems teams.
Provide a business process Center of Excellence (COE) that goes beyond the traditional role of IT to enable the processes requested by the business to provide leadership regarding business transformation through the delivery of new digitally-enabled business processes.
Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and work with the business to develop business cases to secure funding for such projects.
Assist business leaders to prioritize project requests based on available funding and capacity constraints.
Oversee project portfolio deployment to ensure that scope of projects are well-defined and are successfully transitioned to service delivery partners.
Ensure all solutions are aligned to enterprise architecture, and IT policies and guidelines.
Identify and mitigate potential problems and conflicts with IT delivery to minimize service disruption and achieve desired results from initiatives that are triggered/enabled by technology.
Navigate the IT organization on behalf of the business to resolve issues, concerns or problems.
Work with Finance on annual IT budgets and forecasts.
Create and manage an actionable roadmap that outlines what IT and the business, working together, will deliver.
Ensure business benefits associated with IT projects are quantified and realized post-project; lead and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Fulfill the duties as an IT manager of people, spanning communications, performance management, and talent development processes.

Senior Director, Delivery & Business Relationship Management Qualifications
The successful candidate for this position will have the following experiences and expertise:
Minimum 10+ years internal/external IT experience in business relationship management role, including proven capabilities and expertise in developing relationships with business leaders, bringing IT-enabled innovation to the business, oversight of application development environment, project management, BI and analytics, and working with third party providers to deliver IT.
Must have 10 or more years of experience managing enterprise-wide IT-related projects & programs for both applications and infrastructure work.
Experience in a leadership role with responsibilities related to outsourced IT Services, preferably to multiple IT Service Providers.
Demonstrated competency in deploying enterprise technical solutions, including documenting/designing business processes, performing business analysis and requirements definition, building solutions, and handling change management activities during implementation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical language in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issues.
Ability to connect the people, processes, and technologies required to deliver business solutions.
Ability to collaborate with third party IT teams working at off-shore locations.
Ability to influence decisions with credibility across business functions or technologies with analysis and facts.
Strong leadership, project, and team building skills – ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives by working effectively with others with a demonstrated ability to work cross-departmentally.
Proven ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from business units, customers, and IT team members.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of IT and assigned departments/business areas to identify and communicate how IT solutions can support the achievement of short- and long-term business goals.
Certifications such as BRMP, PMP, Six Sigma, ITIL a plus.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field. MBA in Technology, or other related Master’s degree a plus.
