Job Description:

We are seeking an Aerospace Sales Application Engineer for MAPAL Inc., a world class tooling solutions provider. This position supports all the business and market development efforts with current and potential aerospace and composite industry customers in Canada. This position will identify business opportunities, provide support and service to customers; understand customer requirements, and may help support management of programs/project steps.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support current and potential customers of aerospace and composite fiber market for Canada (Quebec).
  • Leads resolution for all tool related quality and application issues at the customer. Diagnoses and determines root causes.
  • Optimizes and test product line tools internally and on customer site. Recommend appropriate strategies or solutions.
  • Assists and may lead project development for aerospace and composite fiber customers.
  • Interact and coordinate with appropriate personnel departments to maximize best practices to meet customer needs.
  • Submit RFQ’s for new tooling from recommendations made to customer for process improvements.
  • Analyze and correct daily servicing issues at customer site. Prepare required documentation.
  • Actively participates in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Department manager.
Job Requirements:
  • 5-10 years experience and/or combination of the following: Aerospace, Composites, Engineering, Technical Services or R&D.
  • 5-7 years practical hands-on experience within the aerospace, composite industry.
  • Exceptional and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Lotus Notes.
  • Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written, active listening.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Mechanically inclined; understanding of technical issues.
  • Strong work ethic; self-motivated and self-starter.
  • Team Oriented.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Bi-lingual: English and French preferred.
