Job Description:

The CM/CI Software Engineer will be responsible for Continuous Integration (CI) and Configuration Management (CM) of software engineering functions within their product lines. This includes responsibility for the management and documentation of the CM process, configuration control, release management and CM and CI tools. Additional responsibilities will include the generation and support of Software tools related to testing and integration of the Software configuration and SW Development utilities.
 
Description: 

Responsible for the execution of the Software Development Life Cycle Process (directly perform or delegate responsibilities). Includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the deployment of the CM / CI process. Evaluates performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and institutes actions to correct shortcomings or further streamline the process as necessary
  • Responsible for the execution of the process controls, ensuring that staff comply with process and data standards
  • Interfaces with other processes and/or business functions to ensure they can leverage the benefits provided by the Configuration Management process
  • Directs, prioritizes and schedules audits; ensures that any corrective action identified in Process and/or Database audits is carried out
  • Directs and schedules the training of new CI owners and CI coordinators 
  • Manages the evaluation of Configuration Management tools and recommend those that best meet the organizations requirements
  • Ensures regular housekeeping of the Configuration Management System data
  • Ensures appropriate security and access levels to the Configuration Management System
  • Plans and manages population of the Configuration Management System, including discovery and other data import methods
  • Responsible for Software tool development and deployment for use the development and V & V staff.
  • Responsible for validation of Software development / CM & CI tools.
Technical Qualifications Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an Engineering discipline required.
  • 2-5 years CM experience in a regulated software development environment
  • BitBucket
  • Medical device development experience a plus
  • AGILE SCRUM environment a plus
  • Jenkins
  • VectorCast  
    • Code coverage
    • Unit test modules
  • SeaPine Test Track
 
  • Familiar with Software regulatory guidelines as they pertain to Configuration Management a definite plus.
    • IEC 60601 and IEC 62304 or DO-178B/C
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
