Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a collaborative team developing three dimensional BIM (Building Information Modeling) MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) models.
  • Preparation of drawings/models for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and electrical systems.
  • Contribute to the design of plans, preliminary estimations and details with the use of the guidelines for the projects.
  • Perform necessary calculations and ensure plans correspond to relevant safety codes/standard(s).
  • Assist in the training of other staff members in Revit MEP.
  • Other duties relevant to the position, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design.
  • 1+ years’ experience working with Revit MEP.
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience working on a variety of projects (small, medium, and large).
  • Experience working on projects in the Commercial/Retail industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • The ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, to read complex blueprints, piping sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Fluency in French (oral and written) is an asset.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 per year; with a benefits package which includes: extended health care, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance.

This position is full time and located in north Toronto. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
