The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and a fifty-mile expressway, including one of the world's longest over-water bridges (Bay Bridge) as well as the widest underwater highway vehicular tunnel ever built by the immersed-tube method (Fort McHenry Tunnel).  For nearly 40 years, the MDTA has provided Maryland's citizens and visitors with safe, secure and convenient transportation facilities. Goals

The Maryland Department of Transportation presents six goals that support the achievement of MDOT’s Vision and Mission.  These goals will guide MDOT in tackling the State’s biggest transportation challenges over the next 20 years.
