The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and a fifty-mile expressway, including one of the world's longest over-water bridges (Bay Bridge) as well as the widest underwater highway vehicular tunnel ever built by the immersed-tube method (Fort McHenry Tunnel). Our latest undertaking, the seventeen mile Inter-County Connector (ICC/MD 200), is Maryland's – as well as the Mid-Atlantic's – first all-electronic toll facility.
