Summary
Coordinates Proposal Development activities to support new business development efforts and other Request For Quotation (RFQ) inquiries. Provides technical guidance in developing the “best alternative” for customers’ proposals through collaboration with technical and operations team members at various levels internally and externally. Provides quality review services by going on site to customers and meeting with relevant quality engineers to review quality concerns and establish improvement plan. As part of the Sales and Marketing team, participates in the attainment of department and company goals and demonstrates Jinyi’s core operating values through work activities, actions and behaviors.
Description

1. Provides leadership and technical expertise in assessing RFQ information and evaluating part prints, technical specifications, and commercial requirements to ensure development of a disciplined, logical, cost effective, and efficient approach to manufacturing the product.
   • Identifies and documents issues related to manufacturing feasibility, and makes recommendations to create a competitive advantage for Jinyi.
   • Recommends part design improvements to the customer that creates perceived value and a competitive advantage for Jinyi.
   2. Identifies and procures the necessary technical and commercial information in order to comprehend the project scope and customer requirements.  Summarizes and communicates critical information to internal and external resources to support development of a preliminary technical proposal and quotation.
   3. Coordinates with engineering and operations team members to develop and document the best manufacturing approach considering the product content, production volume, customer, and investment.  Identifies and considers technical and commercial risks during quote development.

4. Communicates closely with customer to ensure quality satisfaction of deliveries and reviews quality issues on site with customer to find short term and long term quality improvement solutions.
5. Identifies/evaluates new manufacturing technologies, tooling, and equipment in an effort to lower costs, improve quality, or increase operational performance.
6. Coordinates proposal work with the Quote and Contract Administrator to ensure accurate and timely completion of customers’ quotations. Works with the quote approval team in facilitating the quote approval process and understanding the investment.
7. Assists in the transitioning of an accepted customer proposal through the hand-off process to launch engineering and program manager, ensuring complete understanding of the quotation technical process steps and tooling concepts.
8. Develops and maintains templates, rules-of-thumbs, and best practices to speed up and improve the accuracy of technical proposals, which allows focus on exceptions.
9. Acts as a back-up to the Quote & Contract Administrator in constructing quote models and initiating the quote approval process.


Requirements
Required:  
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing field
• Experience in die casting engineering and CNC process engineering and development
• Experience in high volume production environment
• Experience in project management
 
 
Preferred: 
• Engineering sales background
• Experience in automotive industry.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods.
• Experience in development on quotations.
 
 
Package offered
Fixed base salary of 1700 EURO/Month for the first year
Fixed base salary of 1800 EURO/Month for the second and following years
Travel and operating expenses paid on the basis of monthly budgetary agreement
