Project Engineer:

The Project Engineer engages in several levels of field engineering, assisting with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem solving.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for daily construction activity of the site, coordinating with Project Manager, Construction Manager, Consultants, subcontractors and all concerned departments etc. Using all approved drawings and materials.
• Supervise the activities of the Foreman/ General Foreman and assist them to perform effectively.
• Responsible for executing the work in accordance with: 1) Shop drawings and specifications 2) Target & construction schedule 3) Method Statements
• Assist with the technical issue/s of the technical team as instructed and directed by the Project Manager.
• Monitor progress of work against construction programs and submission of required site reports in accordance with project reporting plan.
• Monitoring, controlling, and coordinating the works of different trade subcontractors and to report on their progress and or trends for problems / delays to Project Engineer / Construction Manager / Project Engineer.
• Responsible for maintaining and recording at all time site management information system and proforma, recording daily site activities and any circumstances that have adverse effects on the Project.
• Responsible for providing full support to the Project Manager with regular feedback of all information relating to project status with particular references to program, quality, variations, client issues and other relevant facts etc.

• Review drawings for correctness and clarity of information and take necessary action to ensure sufficient information is available. Monitor and ensure that only current revisions of Issued for Construction drawings are being used, and withdraw all superseded drawings from site.

Project Engineer

• Responsible for providing full support to the Project Manager with regular feedback of all information relating to project status with particular references to program, quality, variations, client issues and other relevant facts etc.
• Responsible for preparing records of allocation of resources, labor rate analysis and cost control with consultation of Project Engineer / Project Manager / Construction Manager.
• Responsible for ensuring all surveying work i.e. building demarcation, levels & grids etc is carried out as required.
• Responsible for reviewing the performance of the site development, inspection of site works, inspection of supervisors, foreman, staff and Laborers and also initiate on job training programs according to demonstrated needs.
• Responsible for daily site quantity calculations to forecast the material requirements, labor requirements for plant and equipment. Responsible for raising purchase requisitions for the above requirements duly approved by Project Manager.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Preferred Competencies:

Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized university. Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Knowledge of plumbing & HVAC design codes.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Computer literate.
