Our client, one of the largest employers in Southern Alberta, is in search of an Electric Operations Substation & Metering Manager in Lethbridge, Alberta. This manager will have a team of about 10-12 people and will be responsible for ensuring the substation and metering resources are effectively managed. Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

*Providing leadership, training and vision to the Substation and Metering department of 10-12 employees
*Allocating resources to high priority, short and long term projects
*Representing the division in creating capital and operating budget plans
*Working closely with other departmental managers in planning maintenance schedules
*Analyzing costs and determining opportunities for maintenance and renewal projects
*Ensuring safety is held to the highest importance and complying to all applicable codes

Required Qualifications:

*Journeyman level certification as a Power Systems Electrician or post-secondary graduate as an Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologist.
* 10+ years of experience in construction, commissioning, operating and maintaining substations and metering systems.
*5+ years of supervisory experience
* Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
*Strong knowledge of rules, regulations and policies pertaining to electrical substations
*Must be results driven and team oriented
