Design, sales and manufacturing teams can easily share and manage design data alongside customers under SYNERGY.
3D CAD solutions developer IronCAD recently unveiled the SYNERGY Collaboration Platform, a new cloud-based platform that allows users to manage, view and share various files within an organization. Just like its name implies, the platform synergizes design data between design and sales departments, enabling teams to collaborate remotely under a seamless, unified system. Besides IronCAD files, users will also be able to manage other file types. According to IronCAD, the platform was developed in an effort to optimize collaboration environments for enterprises and improve agility for more efficient workflow.
In a press release, the company stated that it “enables organizations to streamline workflows and extend their sales-design-manufacturing ecosystem from the desktop to the cloud with seamless connection to the SYNERGY platform.”
Under the SYNERGY platform are a number of SYNERGY-exclusive technologies that provide users with data management tools and capabilities.
The SYNERGY Vault is a cloud-based data vault that lets users view, control access and manage IronCAD files as well as other files. The Vault is built on the Amazon Web Services cloud which can be accessed anywhere on any device for remote collaboration. Thanks to its cloud-based viewer, users can easily share designs with the rest of their team or with external customers and sales teams. SYNERGY Vault also functions as a file management tool that lets users safely check in and check out from file vaults within IronCAD and other browsers. Users have the ability to manage who can access and release files as well. According to IronCAD, IronCAD Supported Customers will receive up to 10GB of free secure cloud-based data storage.
Meanwhile, the SYNERGY Configurator allows users to configure 3D products via the cloud in a browser on any device. This includes configurations for edits and the seamless conversion of data to production designs with IronCAD products. This means users can present pricing information to customers from the configured 3D products and immediately collect feedback before sending it back to the design team. This speeds up the design-to-production process while creating more opportunities for collaboration.
Sales teams, customers and suppliers can easily configure products and communicate design concepts and changes on the cloud. Once a product is configured, data can be sent to IronCAD Products where the design data is automatically loaded in the configured product. This will allow designers to quickly finalize product designs so that it gets to production much faster. IronCAD also simplified this process thanks to a new Drag-and-Drop feature. In addition to that, catalogs of configurable 3D products can be easily uploaded and shared via the Configurator.
“Introducing Synergy Platform affirms IronCAD’s commitment to our customers in improving their sales, design process and collaboration experience in remote working environments,” shared Dr. Tao-Yan Han, President of IronCAD, in a press release. “Synergy Platform was designed to give customers an easy-to-use platform that can expand as the needs of our customers grow.”
