The 2008 release of MSC.Software’s engineering analysis suite and MD Technologies is now available. The concurrent release leverages existing MSC.Software single analysis point tools to MD’s multiple discipline analysis. The solver in MD improves simulation accuracy and system level analysis, reducing the gap between systems simulation and physical testing.
The 2008 release of the MSC Engineering Analysis Product Suite provides a common technology foundation for MD Solutions while providing the best available technology for single discipline problems. The integrated solution set ranges from traditional engineering point-solutions to integrated multidiscipline solutions and expands into simulation process management and automation.
The new release includes enhancements to Nastran, Marc, Dytran, Adams, Patran, and Easy5. This version also connects directly to SimEnterprise to ensure interoperability with next generation technology.
The commonality of the framework eliminates time-consuming traditional iterative analysis when compared with using multiple point products. You can carry out stress analysis during motion simulation to instantly visualize stresses occurring in moving parts and assemblies at any specific instance in time. The unified open solver framework includes integrated partner technology such as LS-Dyna from LSTC for crash and impact analysis and micromechanical composite failure analysis from AlphaStar.”
The software integrates engineering disciplines like structures, thermal, motion, and mechatronics into a single solver foundation. The single environment eliminates data translation and transformations that often lead to inaccuracy and inefficiency. Product manufacturers can simulate real world problems more accurately in a fully integrated environment by using chained or coupled analyses with a common data model across multiple engineering disciplines.
