I’m a skeptic when it comes to 3D printing organs of the human body.  The challenges are incredibly complex, so I don’t believe we will have a solution to the transplant organ issue–through 3D printing–for some time, probably decades.  But recent research out of Northwestern University shows hopeful progress on this application.  My colleagues at Medical Design & Outsourcing have more details on the story.
