ICON’s $250K Pickup Truck

Started by Jonathan Ward with a vision of matching classic car stylings with modern automotive performance, California’s Icon has come to be known as company that turns classic autos into high performance beasts. With the introduction of its Thiftmaster the company has once again redefined performance, only this time they’ve done it with a pick-up truck.

Based on the body of a Chevy 3100-series pickup, the Thriftmaster sports a 5.3 liter, 315HP engine that can be upgraded to 435 horses with a Magnuson supercharger kit. Controlled with either a five speed manual or four speed automatic transmission the mid-century truck features CNC machined trim and a bison leather interior.

According to Icon only five Thiftmasters will be built each starting at $220,000 with the upgraded version topping out a quarter million bucks. Although the Thiftmaster is, technically, a pickup truck I think I’d prefer to haul something other than hay in this sleek speedster.
