How much force does it take to bend a wire?

Given a piece of music wire of gauge Z, and length X, with both ends clamped (e.g. one end to a fixed plane, and the other to a translating, but not rotating, body), how much force will it take to translate the body by a distance Y? How does this change if the wire is replaced with a strip of brass of guage Z, and width W?

In this case use the moment of Inertial for the circular wire or the moment of inertia for the rectangular wire as required.
