How is powder material reclaimed in HP’s MultiJet Fusion System?

Unused powder 3D printing material is reclaimed at the end of a job. When a user removes their part from the build bed, the reclaiming cycle begins. Information on cycle times or print times typically does not include reclaiming time.

The HP MFJ system uses powder that is 80% recycled material and 20% fresh material, which saves on material costs. The system is completely automatic. The insertion of a new cartridge, once one has been depleted, turns into a reclaim that is stored as necessary.
