First Xbox Live Arcade Made with 3DVIA Virtools

Dassault Systèmes announced the release of Sarbakan Game Studio’s “Lazy Raiders,” the first Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA) game built and published with 3DVIA Virtools. 3DVIA Virtools is Dassault Systèmes’ game engine for rapid prototyping and production.

Lazy Raiders is an action/puzzle game in which players assume the role of an explorer hunting for relics in tombs, ships and other ancient structures. Gameplay is unique in that players must move the world, not the character, to avoid danger, collect gold, and complete 80 levels.

3DVIA Virtools is Dassault Systèmes’ development solution for everything from game prototyping to full online, PC, virtual reality, and game console deployment. In 2009 Dassault Systèmes added an Xbox 360 solution to 3DVIA Virtools, allowing studios to rapidly develop titles for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Lazy Raiders is currently available for download exclusively on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. To learn more about “Lazy Raiders,” visit the game’s official Web site at www.LazyRaiders.com, or meet the game designers in person at the 2010 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California, March 11-13 at 3DVIA’s booth (#1432).
