Averna has announced an updated version of its Jupiter 310 Design Verification System. Jupiter 310 is utilized for automated DOCSIS 3.1 physical (PHY) layer pre-certification testing. It provides increased test coverage with accurate results for DOCSIS 3.1 devices. In addition, it has 100 percent coverage for all ATP-PHYs with mixed-mode test points.

The Jupiter 310 includes a Vector Signal Generator (VSG) to generate impairments and a multi-functional dashboard consisting of Vector Signal Analyzer (VSA), MIB browser and a RF interface unit control, making cable modem debugging easier.

Cadence has launched the third-generation of its JasperGold Formal Verification Platform, featuring machine learning technology and core formal technology enhancements. The updates to the platform address the capacity and complexity challenges of SoC designs and aim to improve verification throughput.

The JasperGold platform is the company’s latest stage of ongoing proof-solver algorithm and orchestration upgrades. This version incorporates “Smart Proof Technology” to improve verification efficiency for all JasperGold apps. Machine learning is also used to select and parameterize solvers to enable faster first-time proofs.

Imagination Technologies has introduced several tools to help developers optimize Android graphics performance for devices with PowerVR GPUs. The tools include: PVRMonitor for real-time GPU and CPU performance statistics; PVRTune for profiling and analyzing applications; and PVRStudio for CPU/GPU debugging on PowerVR devices.

Furthermore, PVRMonitor, PowerVR’s real-time GPU performance monitor for Android, will soon be available as a plug-in for Unreal Engine, with Unity support coming early next quarter. Developers can simply drag and drop the PVRMonitor widget onto their app.

Zuken has developed E3.WiringSystemLab, a software platform that streamlines the optimization of complex wire harness designs based on inputs from heterogeneous sources. The software can import connectivity information from a range of sources and consolidates them with 3D topology data. The resulting 3D topology can be evaluated and optimized in a consistent 3D environment that has been designed to support the needs of users without requiring specialized training.
