Comtrade Digital Services to serve as a system integrator for Eurotech’s IoT solutions.
Internet of Things (IoT) provider Eurotech has announced an extension of its partnership with Comtrade Digital Services, a software engineering company. The new collaboration will position Comtrade Digital Services as a system integrator for Eurotech’s IoT solutions.
Eurotech and Comtrade’s previous relationship revolved around Eurotech’s open-source Eclipse IoT projects, Kura and Kapua. Eclipse Kura is a Java/OSGi application framework for IoT gateways like Eurotech’s ReliaGATE 20-26, and Eclipse Kapua is an open-source version of Eurotech’s Everyware cloud IoT integration platform.
Based on the success of these projects, Eurotech and Comtrade Digital Services hope to combine their respective IoT experience in order to help customers develop and deploy end-to-end IoT solutions. Comtrade will complement Eurotech’s IoT hardware and software offerings with its Predictive Maintenance Platform, an analytics platform that uses IoT data to prevent failure of critical assets.
“We are extremely proud to be part of Eurotech’s IoT ecosystem and to contribute with our knowledge to the open-source community around Eurotech Everyware IoT,” said Comtrade’s Bojan Šneberger. “We believe this partnership will help companies innovate faster and reduce time to market—they will stay one step ahead of the competition by leveraging the power of IoT.”
Like Comtrade Digital Services, many companies with an IoT focus believe that collaboration in developing IoT solutions is the key to success. Eurotech is no exception, having previously announced IoT partnerships with software provider Red Hat. In fact, the company line seems to be “the more the merrier.”
“We are very excited to add another IoT Solutions Partner in our ecosystem,” said Eurotech CTO Marco Carrer. “Comtrade expertise and intimate knowledge of the Eurotech Everyware IoT stack make it a perfect partner to accelerate IoT Solutions deployments.”
