EOS presents a steadily growing portfolio at Euromold

EOS, the global technology and quality leader for high-end Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions, is exhibiting again at this year’s 20th EuroMold in Frankfurt (November 25-28, 2014). Under the motto “Experience quality in Additive Manufacturing,” the company is presenting its steadily growing portfolio of Additive Manufacturing solutions for the polymer and metal fields, with accompanying software and services, in Hall 11/Booth E148.image002

As Dr. Adrian Keppler, sales and marketing director (CMO) at EOS, emphasized, “The commitment of large Fortune 100 companies in the field of Additive Manufacturing is impressive proof that EOS technology is finally here to stay in manufacturing, and makes completely new approaches to production and areas of use possible.

“Now the important thing is to ensure the factors relevant for series production so that our technology can be used in modern manufacturing environments. These include more comprehensive process monitoring and quality assurance features as well as further development of the right materials for industry-specific applications. We can provide our customers with the support of a team of experienced consultants if necessary to help them identify suitable applications for Additive Manufacturing.”

As of October 2014, approximately 1,500 EOS systems were installed worldwide. In the last fiscal year, turnover increased by 36% over the previous year to reach 177 million euros.

On display at Euromold will be the EOS P 396 production system for the polymer segment. Also on display will be the recently launched metalworking system, the EOS M 290. Finally, the EOS M 400, a new modular design metal system for use in production to facilitate larger components, increased productivity and automation, as well as enhanced quality assurance.

The Integrated Process Chain Management IPCM-M extra for EOS metal systems ensures maximum product quality for prototypes and in-series production. It improves the productivity of Additive Manufacturing systems and thus increases the efficiency of the process. Like its predecessor IPCM-M, the IPCM-M extra has a modular structure and can be integrated in all system environments. With the new generation, the IPCM-M extra-powder conveying module offers around 50 percent more conveying performance and the service life of the powder screen module is about 50 percent longer.
