EnvisionTEC releases the Perfactory®µicro 3D printer

EnvisionTEC, Inc. unveiled its user friendly Perfactory® Micro, the smallest personal desktop 3D printer and manufacturing system in its family. With its state of the art DLP technology from Texas Instruments®, the Perfactory® Micro System produces the fine detail needed for prototyping jewelry in a short period of time. Its LED light source requires zero maintenance and has very low operational costs.

The base price is $14,999 and comes with a 2 year warranty. The Perfactory® Software Suite includes EnvisionTEC Magics 16, a $7500 value, free of charge with every printer. Magics ET 16 provides automatic support generation and STL file repair with one click of a button.

A USB port connects the Perfactory® Micro directly to your PC with no light calibration or setup time. Simply add one of EnvisionTEC’s material choices to the tray and upload your STL file.

The machine runs EnvisionTEC materials suited for both direct casting and molding. The material cost per ring model is approximately 70 cents, which makes new design development cost a non-issue. CAD software has advanced to allow for more freeform, hollows and intricately detailed geometry that CNC milling machines are not suited to mill without milling in sections and then gluing together. Training courses for the Perfactory® Micro will be offered at your choice of our Detroit, California or Toronto locations. Novice CAD users will leave with the knowledge and confidence to immediately start printing their own CAD designs.

The Perfactory® Micro has a build envelope of 40 x 30 x 100 mm (1.58 in. x 1.18 in. x 3.94 in.), which will build 5-6 average size ladies engagement rings in a 5-8 hour build time, easily allowing for designing, building and casting in less than 24 hours. The resolution is 31 µm (0.0012 in.)
in X and Y and 25 µm (0.0010 in.) in Z.

The Perfactory® Micro opens the door to a whole new level of designs that match the small volume but high quality standard that custom jewelers and designers need to compete in today’s market. It will outperform all current jet technology printers and produces models comparable in quality to printers six times its price. With a footprint of just 23 x 18 x 58 cm (9 in. x 8 in. x 24 in.) and weighing 13 kg (28.66 lb), the Perfactory® Micro will fit into any workspace.
