SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – Design Prototyping Technologies announces the availability of TangoPlus® and DurusWhite®, Objet Geometries’ newest PolyJet resins. DPT’s instant quote system allows design departments to request basic materials and Digital Materials™ fabricated by the Connex500™ 3-D printing system based on PolyJet Matrix™ technology.
TangoPlus® FullCure 930, a rubber-like resin, offers exceptional elongation at break, excellent durability and high resistance to tearing. It’s well suited for designs that demand resistance to deterioration such as; gaskets, seals, hoses and athletic footwear. The elongation at break of TangoPlus® is more than double that of any other rapid prototyping material available on the market. Its Ross Flex measurement exceeds 150,000.
DurusWhite® FullCure430 offers Notched Izod Impact of 44.22 J/m and simulates the mechanical properties of polypropylene. Durus™ addresses a broad range of applications requiring a polypropylene-like appearance such as; medical equipment, consumer products and automotive components.
The Connex500™ 3-D printing system is well-known for the ability to simultaneously print multi-material models, for example, over-molded keypad switches. As well as the ability to print identical parts with different materials during the same build. Additionally, the system offers Digital Materials™ – composite materials that are formulated during the build process and have preset combinations of mechanical properties unattainable by single materials. Rubber-like Digital Materials™ are available online at DPT’s instant quote system in Shore A 80, Shore A 85 and Shore A 95.
DPT’s composite materials are formulated with FullCure970® TangoBlack and FullCure830® VeroWhite. When used individually, TangoBlack (Shore Hardness 61 A) builds parts with a rubber-like appearance and silicon feel. FullCure830® VeroWhite (Shore Hardness 83 D) offers enhanced mechanical properties and builds durable parts that withstand bending.
