Dexterity partners with Kawasaki to produce robot arms for Mech

Mech is a mobile, two-armed robot built for industrial use with physical AI.

Dexterity has entered a partnership with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. to produce robot arms for its hardware platform, the Mech.

The Mech is a mobile, two-armed robot developed for industrial use with a focus on physical automation. Its mobile base allows it to navigate to various locations within large facilities, while its dual-arm design supports handling and packing tasks at operational speeds.

Kawasaki developed lightweight robotic arms with eight degrees of freedom for the Mech, focusing on an efficient strength-to-weight ratio suitable for warehouse deployment. The arms are designed to handle loads exceeding the OSHA single-person lift limit. This collaboration supports Dexterity in expanding the production and deployment of its AI-driven robots across various industries in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Dexterity’s MECH and new physical AI platform were officially unveiled in February 2025, signaling a major leap forward in physical AI-powered automation.
