As we mentioned earlier this year, the US Army is in the market for its next-gen high speed helicopter. Competing with a Boeing/Sikorsky joint bid, and a tilt-rotor entry from Bell in an already high stakes competition, AVX has just announced the design of their Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD).
AVX’s JMR-TD is built around and aerodynamic, low drag fuselage that could be home to a plethora of weapons systems, auxillery fuels cells or hospital beds.
