Dental Equipment Designer Uses 3D Software

A-dec, one of the world’s largest dental equipment manufacturers, uses Deep Server enterprise software to eliminate manual steps in its illustration process. The software allows A-dec designers to automatically generate interactive 3D PDFs of its furniture orders so that its customers can view orders online.

Right Hemisphere software provides 3D product visualization for a dental equipment manufacturer.

The software helps A-dec accelerate its internal drawing process and provide a better overall customer experience. All of the company’s customers receive illustrations within a few hours of ordering. The order confirmation package is a multi-page document with interactive 3D representations of the furniture ordered and product specifications.

The software integrates disparate product data available in CAD, PLM, and ERP systems, and automatically delivers the intelligent product information into commonly used business documents, file formats, and business applications for secure downstream use anytime, anywhere. The software is integrated with the company’s online ordering software, CATIA V5, and Microsoft BizTalk server. Once an order is placed in OrderNet, BizTalk creates and sends a manufacturing bill of materials to Deep Server. It creates PDF derivatives that are 2D illustrations or 3D product graphic visuals specific to the individual order. The software also generates a series of PDF reports such as schematics, installation instructions, and cabinet weights and measurements.
