Cost and operating costs of forced circulation crystallizer
I would appreciate if someone could tell me the approx. cost of a forced circulation crystallizer that could handle 50k gal per day. I would also like to know an approx operating cost /gal. Also, does anyone know how much it typically costs to landfill the waste (and are there any restrictions on what metals or minerals etc can be in it)?
Nick: Use Google or another search engine. There appears to be quite a bit of work on Zero Liquid Discharge waste treatment systems. See the link below for what I found for – ZLD System –

Nick:
I am not sure that a forced circulation crystallizer will do what you want. From what I can see they redesigned work with pure solutions of specific chemicals [1]. They are used in producing a number of high purity chemical [2].
Work with the effluent of a landfill you would be have lots of different chemical that would precipitate and crystallize at different temperatures and different concentrations.
What is your objective for this device?
What lead you to come up with the idea for using a forced circulation crystallizer to treat the effluent from landfills?

Niel:
I am trying to treat wastewater with a high TDS, and I am looking for a ZLD system. So I would want to use the crystallizer to treat the concentrate.
Do you know of something that would be better to use than a crystallizer?
I appreciate your time.
