Compatibility a Challenge for Industrial Robot Accessories and Tooling

Not every multipurpose gripper is compatible with every brand of robot. OnRobot has developed a solution.

OnRobot makes accessories and tools such as suction and fingered grippers for industrial robots. One challenge the company has faced is in ensuring that their tools are compatible with a vast range of I/O configurations at the wrists of industrial robots on the market. To solve this problem, the company has developed a piece of converter hardware that attaches to the robot and the tooling. This makes their grippers and other products compatible with a wider range of robots.
