Cloud-Based Remote Monitoring System For Thermal Processes

Thermal process MES enables plant managers to make smarter and safer operating decisions to maximize uptime.

Honeywell recently announced Honeywell Connected Plant Thermal IQ, a cloud-based remote monitoring system designed to monitor and manage critical thermal process data, such as from heat treat, curing or refining processes in the oil and gas; refining; pulp and paper; industrial power generation; chemicals and petrochemicals; biofuels; life sciences; and metals, minerals and mining industries.

Thermal IQ is a remote monitoring software for industrial and commercial thermal applications. It connects combustion equipment to the cloud, making critical thermal process data available in real time on any smart device.

MES Provides Deeper Insight

In the past, processes could be finely calibrated, but the IoT provides the capability to know and track concrete data on processes, from anywhere. With MES, Engineers and plant managers can monitor and manage thermal process equipment, minimizing unplanned downtime and maximizing uptime.

“In today’s competitive business climate, it’s vital that production and process systems deliver value by operating in the smartest, most efficient manner possible,” said Tim Lee, vice president and general manager, Honeywell Thermal Solutions. Thermal IQ sends customers data from their combustion equipment which allows them to diagnose potential disruptions ahead of time to facilitate operating decisions.

The product is available to North American customers now, with international deliveries of Thermal IQ expected later in 2018. For more information about Thermal IQ, visit the Honeywell Combustion website.
