Can Industry Awareness Help Die Casting Market Value Exceed 2020 Predictions?

Pretransa Die Casting Machines aims to increase awareness for US$34.94 billion industry.

A new infographic about die casting is intended to increase public awareness and generate professional enthusiasm for the industry.

It is published by the European manufacturer Pretransa Die Casting Machines, which specializes in cold chamber high-pressure die casting machines and peripheral equipment for the nonferrous metal foundry industry.

The infographic is certainly timely, with the global automotive parts die casting market valued at $34.94 billion in 2015 and expected to reach $48.8 billion by 2020 at an estimated CAGR of 6.94 percent.

Believe it or not, the primary motivator for this growth is the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Increasing mileage standards in the auto industry are leading manufacturers to produce lighter vehicles, and aluminum die-casting engine parts is one way to achieve that goal.

“Die casting is an exciting area of industry to work in,” said Germán Lechuga, sales and marketing manager for Pretransa North America.

“It demands a great deal of specialization and it is always in need of good professionals, especially now, when die casting is expected to grow in the following years in order to help auto-makers comply with increasingly restrictive environmental regulations. Hopefully this infographic will help to attract young talents to this vibrant industry,” he concluded.
