SolidWorks 2009 SP2.1 was released to address the following issue:
If the following sequence of events occurs in 2009 SP0, SP1.0 or SP2.0, drawing views might not show the latest model geometry after you reopen the drawing, even with a forced rebuild (Ctrl-Q):1. SolidWorks updates one or more drawing views (for example, when a model changes).2. SolidWorks saves auto-recover information for the drawing.3. You manually save the drawing immediately after the auto-recover.
2009 SP2.1 fixes the problem so that drawings are saved properly. If you want to continue to use 2009 SP0, SP1.0, or SP2.0, turn off the auto-recover feature (Tools, Options, System Options, Backup/Recover and clear Save auto-recover info every) to avoid the risk of encountering this issue.
To fix a drawing that already has the problem:1. Turn off the auto-recover feature.2. Switch to the model window (or open the model if not already open).3. Rebuild the model using Ctrl-Q.4. Switch back to the drawing window.5. Save the drawing.
A macro that performs these steps is available in the Knowledge Base. Please see Solution S-033331
