DRYCON is designed to maximize filament performance for technical, flexible, and high-temperature materials.
BERLIN, Germany, Oct 15, 2024 – BigRep announced their latest product – the DRYCON, the only machine with dual chamber capacity that does three things at once: dry, store, and anneal. It is positioned as the perfect partner for industrial 3D printers by delivering superior filament care and high-quality parts.
A solution to maximize a filament’s performance, DRYCON is made for technical, flexible, and high-temperature materials. It features a large-build volume BigRep is known for, with dual chambers that dry and store up to 36 kg of filaments in custom conditions. The chambers heat up to 180°C, which is perfect for annealing 3D-printed parts to give them industrial-grade strength.
The DRYCON will be available across EMEA starting today on the BigRep website and globally in early 2025.
Why the DRYCON is the Ideal Companion for Your 3D Printer
The DRYCON ensures hygroscopic filaments perform at their best by creating optimal conditions that enhance print quality, minimize extrusion problems, and improve the overall mechanical strength of a part. With it, users can achieve repeatable print quality and lower production cost by minimizing print defects and failures.
What makes DRYCON unique
- Dual Chamber Capacity
Both the chambers (396mm X 455mm X 478mm each) dry, store, and anneal prints. The temperatures of the chambers can be customized independently to store filaments with different requirements. - Active Air Exchange
The DRYCON’s active air exchange system cycles humid air with fresh air periodically, ensuring optimal drying conditions while maintaining high energy efficiency. - Annealing for Industrial-Grade Parts
Both chambers heat up to 180°C and anneal 3D prints to enhance properties such as strength, dimensional accuracy, heat resistance and improves the surface quality of the print by smoothening the top layer giving it a professional-grade finish. - Seamless DRYCON to Printer Filament Feed
The DRYCON’s four filament outlets streamline the additive manufacturing process by feeding the material directly into the 3D printer, removing the need for manual transfers and separate storage.
The DRYCON is designed to deliver consistent filament conditions for better and repeatable print quality, lower costs per part, and enhance a part’s strength and durability.
