This biennial event has been announced for September 12-17, 2016, and so far has nearly 70 sessions slated to explore process innovations, alternative manufacturing, plant operations, automation and quality, among other topics.

Recognized as one of the world’s distinguished stages for the introduction and sale of up-and-coming manufacturing technologies, the IMTS is arguably the largest show of its kind in the United States. The show expects to attract over 100,000 visitors from all levels of industry and from all over the world.

“The objective for the IMTS 2016 conference program is continuous improvement. For us, that means the topics presented are real-world, hands-on solutions that our visitors can take back to their shops and use immediately,” said Bill Herman, event development director at the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT).

“From productivity gains to quality improvement to developing a stable, skilled workforce, the IMTS 2016 conference will provide the tools for immediate and continuous improvement,” Herman said.

The show’s conference organizer, GIE Media, has announced that the call for speakers is open. Anyone interested in speaking at IMTS is invited to visit the IMTS website for a complete list of conference presentation topics and for the official procedure for speaker proposal submissions.

The call for speakers closes on December 15, 2015.
